Color Labels not showing in Filmstrip

When assigning a color label to a photo, it is not showing in Develop Filmstrip nor Grid in Library. 

I have the option checked to tint cell with color label.

(it has worked flawlessly in the past, all of a sudden it has stopped)

Are you talking about Lightroom Classic? You don't really tell us.

If so, try resetting Lightroom Classic's preferences. https://www.lightroomqueen.com/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/
