Only certain Sony cameras can now tether with Lightroom Classic. The A7III does not seem to be one of them. Please read https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/p-tethering-support-requests-and-inform...

It looks like LR is relying on Sony's Camera Remote SDK (just as it relies on the Canon and Nikon SDKs), and the SDK only supports a limited number of cameras (scroll down to "Specifications"):

So maybe direct your feedback to Sony as well.
