Concern about scams related to Adobe products

I have today received an advertisement on Instagram from a company called DIGITALOPHY offering PS for a single payment of $22.99 for a lifetime license.  Considering that is only slightly more than the monthly charge from Adobe I don't believe it is possible and that there may possibly something underhand.  They have similar offers on a whole range of Adobe products (and other comanies such as MS). Although the company has a British address it offers all products in Dollars which is very strange.  I am concerned this may not be above board.Adobe ad Instagram.png

Definitely a scam, you can only buy Photoshop from Adobe or licensed partners (such as Amazon, B&H, etc.)

I figured as much and yet I have a second ad on Instagram just received from Teclicense making similar offer of single payment for lifetime license for PS product.  What I cannot tolerate is that Instagram accepts these advertisements that are distributed to millions of users.

I have seen similar fraudulent advertisements on Instagram for other products (shoes). Not sure there is anything you can do, I reported them to Instagram, but I don't think it helped.

I have noticed the same at Facebook. Reporting as scam to Facebook failed.

I would think that this is of serious concern to Adobe.  We are inconsequential lone voices but Adobe has clout.  This is why I reported it here rather than through Instagram.  If all social media are being used by these advertisers they are reaching many millions.

I sent a similar message to Instagram but they have come back to say they find the ad perfectly legitimate.  It looks pretty much like a standard reply.  I am amazed that Adobe are not concerned and I fear a lot of people will be conned.

In those cases I mentioned above (regarding shoes), I see that the scam advertisements have stopped. I don't know why. Could be that the real company complained.

Yes, good point.  Neither have I seen any of the Adobe ads in spite of Instagram finding no issue with them
