Hi everyone, when I open the masks tab and use the "people" search in Lightroom, it just crashes. This problem appears in both versions of Lightroom. I have already tried reinstalling both apps, but it still happens. Please help🥲🥲

We’ve reviewed the email address you use with this forum and found no crash reports in our system.

 

Did you see a crash dialog?

Do you use a different email address when filling out the crash report?

Was the crash dialog Adobe’s? Microsoft’s?

Thank you for your reply. I can send feedback about crashing only in regular Lightroom, but in Lightroom Classic, it's impossible. Every time it crashes, I have to close it through Task Manager because it's not responding, and when I open it again, the crash dialog doesn't appear.

I'm using the same email address, and I sent it one more time.
The crash dialog was Adobe's but appeared only in regular Lightroom.

In that case, I may need to see a screenshot of the dialog. 
Did the dialog title say: “Error Report for “Adobe Lightroom” or “Report Unexpected Shutdown”?

This is not a crash report, so it will not be found when I search for your crash logs.
This is a Report: Unexpected Shutdown for Lightroom Desktop and unrelated to your Classic post. 

I have changed the title of your post to reflect that you are experiencing an Application Hang and Force-quitting and not experiencing a crash. 

Standard troubleshooting would apply. Pay particular attention to your GPU Driver and make sure you go to your Manufacturer (Intel) and install their latest updates.  

If you can, please post complete information regarding your GPU's specifications.  The GPU information provided shows a lack in memory and 2 GB of memory is required on your GPU to meet Lightroom's minimum specifications.

Intel Arc Graphics GPUs don't seem to be used by LR users as much as Nvidia, AMD, and Apple GPUs.  To determine whether the issue is with the GPU, start Windows in Safe Mode With Networking, which will disable LR's use of the GPU -- does the problem still occur? (This is just a diagnostic step, not a permanent workaround.) For reasons known only to Adobe, LR's AI commands don't obey the setting of Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor, even though it's trivial to implement.

I tried starting Windows in Safe Mode with Networking, and it worked perfectly fine. But when I restarted and opened Lightroom, it didn’t crash this time. However, when I chose to find people, it found them, but when I chose an entire person, it just made a big rectangle around them. You can see it on the screenshot.
