Deleting photo in Develop panel not working as expected

Contributor ,

When I Delete photo from disk while in Develop panel, after deleting next photo is not selected and I have to take mouse and select it. When I try to use arrow keys to jump to next photo, it jumps to the end or beginning of stripe. It is annoying and slowing workflow.

Hi @michaljanata,

Thanks for reporting this, that definitely shouldn’t be happening, and I can see how it would disrupt your workflow. To help us understand what’s going on, could you share a bit more?

  • Version of Lightroom Classic version and macOS you’re using

  • Whether this happens with all folders/collections or only certain ones?

  • If possible, could you also share a short screen recording of the issue?

These details will help us understand the issue and help you accordingly.

Regards,

Srishti

hi @Srishti Bali.,

I'm using latest version of MacOS and Lightroom, but it is not related to any OS or LR version, I'm expiriencing this for long time and also on Windows.

Now I have made some experiments and it seems it is related to where are pictures saved.
The bug happens when I edit pictures that are sitting on my Synology NAS. And it also happens in Library module, not only in Develop module.
When I edit pictures on SSD connected directly to my Mac mini, it does work ok.

The photos are on a NAS, some members state that works, some have issue, but more to the point, is the catalog on the NAS (hopefully not).

@GoldingD when I say pictures, I mean pictures, not catalog
