Denoise taking 5 minutes - was 10-20 seconds

I've used the denoise feature for a long time now, it has always worked great.

Right now it was taking over 5 minutes to complete one image in 14.3, when it normally took 10-20 seconds. So I decided to update to 14.4 (I know that it no longer generates another file), but it does not complete the process in the indicated time.

Is this just momentarily broken? Can I do anything to fix this on my end?

I realized why this was happening, LR classic had decided that all of a sudden my GPU was not compatible. This had never been a problem before. I found a solution to this issue via the lightroomqueen.com website which pointed here:

I erased the file as mentioned in solution 3, and now Lightroom recognizes my GPU again and the time to execute denoise is back to normal.

Hi @JorgeB_CMF

Sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind sharing a few more details to help us troubleshoot?

  • What operating system are you using?

  • When did this issue start happening?

  • Have there been any recent changes to your system — such as an OS update, antivirus installation, or new browser extensions?

In the meantime, you can also try the steps outlined in this article to optimize Lightroom performance: Optimize performance in Lightroom Classic

Let us know how it goes!

Regards,

Srishti

In addition to the steps set out by @Srishti Bali  Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. You can obtain same from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. Press the Copy button at the top right corner off the dialog that appears, then paste into your next forum post.
