I am very frustrated and spent all my weekend and couldn't find solution. I have all my picture and LrC on my external SSD. I have not had any issue. with Lr. I think problem occurred from last update of LrC. I select photo and switch to Develop mode and whatever I touch photo disappeared and gray screen said "Photo is not selected". I tried on several photo and now realized that these photos disappeared from Lr. So, I lost these photos, but fortunately these are still visible in windows explorer. When I put my SSD on my tablet LrC work perfect. (LrC on my tablet has not updated yet)

Could you please help me to resolve these issues. I would appreciate for any suggestion.

Thank you

I can reproduce this error message if I have no image selected.

It is possible to de-select all visible previews in the grid by  [Ctrl+D] , or if you click the mouse cursor on any blank area under the previews.

(Images that are 'Missing' will give the error message "The File could not be found." )

Windows OS and an external hard drive.

  • Does that external hard drive have a drive letter permanently assigned to it? Or can it change.
  • Do you prevent that external drive from going asleep?
