having the same issue;

imported dng files from a backup disk – every single file is "unsupported or damaged".

all of them edited and archived with former versions of lightroom...

The files are damaged/corrupted, almost always because of a hardware error. The problem could also be caused via the transmission to or from the "cloud" backup. If you don't have an uncorrupted backups somewhere, then I'm afraid you can't use these files any more.

As a test, try changing the file extension to .tif and opening with Camera RAW. See if you get the same error.
