Do I need to "enable" AI in Lightroom?

Hello,

I'm trying to make use of the AI feature in Lightroom - simply to remove an object.

I'm clicking the Heal -> Content Aware Removal. ....  but when I click the object it isn't analysing anything and just selects the spot I clicked.

Do I need to enable something?

Lightroom 12.5 (M1 Pro).

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I've tried searching but no joy.

This is not a tool with object selection. It is a brush, so you need to brush over the entire area you want to remove.

Ah hang, ignore me. I see now that it isn't actually automateically selecting just that object - it's selecting the object and surrounding area.

Thank you for your help!

Correct. Lightroom can detect objects when creating masks, but the healing brushes are not masks, but brushes. Brushes simply affect what is brushed over.
