Doesnt read star rating from XMP file / MAC

Im workin on a Mac Studio with the latest LR CC Version. I always make my star rating selection in PhotoMechanic 6 because its way faster. And here i got some XMP files with my stars ("

 xmp:Rating="5"

")

Whne i now got to LR and try to read the metafiles from files, the stars wont show up in LR.

Can you help me please?

And no, i dont want to do the selection in LR.

If I remember correctly, there have been issues reported with PhotoMachanic that were caused by the capitalization of the .xmp extension. Lightroom uses/expects lower caps, PhotoMechanic uses upper caps. I think this only occurred if the images were on a NAS. Is that what you use too?

Holy, thats it. Workin on a NAS and Pm wrote .XMP But you can change it - so no its writing .xmp files and LR reads them as used.
