I'd like to place two images together having a transparent effect as film cameras have in double exposures. How can this be achieved using (Photshop ?Lightroom?, or what software is best for this?) Thanks.
Since Lightroom Classic doesn't allow Layers, it seems your best bet is Photoshop; therefore you should post your question in that Forum.
Photoshop is the way to go. Typically you would set the layer style to lighten, multiply, or screen with a variable opacity depending on the effect you are going for. Just google double exposure Photoshop and you'll find 100's of tutorials on youtube on how to do this.
