Editing and image disappeared now grey and "loading"

Please help.

I imported images from a session today, I was editing and all of a sudden edit screen where image was turned grey now it says "loading".  

I can see the folders, the first image is loading into the navigator box, but I cant get anything to load.

Do you see everything in library?

What is the source and format of the images?

Also, share more information on your system, i.e. post the Systeminformation from the Help menu.

In addition to the info that @F. McLion requested, it would be very helpful to have a copy of the edit 'History'. That is, a screenshot of the 'History' panel showing the edits applied to the image, espcially those immediately before the image turned grey.
