Error code 5 in Lightroom 5

I installed Mac OS Catalina on my iMac.

Since then Lightroom (10.7.1) does not work.  It jumps when I click the icon but then comes up with Error Code 5 - reinstall or call Adobe technical support, which I find impossible to do.

Any suggestions I would be grateful.

Your title says Lightroom 5. Your text says "Since then Lightroom (10.7.1) does not work." There is no such thing as Lightroom 10.7.1.

 

Please clarify the version number of Lightroom you are using, and also please provide the EXACT unedited word-for-word message you are seeing.

 

Assuming you are talking about Lightroom 5, this software was never tested on Catalina. Furthermore, Adobe does not support Lightroom 5 any more, they will not help you.

The current versions of Lightroom are. There is no Lightroom (10.7.1).

1. Lightroom Classic 10.4

2. Lightroom desktop/cloud-based. 4.4

3. Lightroom mobile 6.4

Please indicate which app you are using, the exact number.

This is the Lightroom Classic forum there is another one for the Cloud based and Mobile apps.
