Hello brains trust,
Re Windows 11. Lightroom Classic.
I upgraded (I assume form v13-3) to v13-5.1 and when i opened it, it said i had the following error: 'Local Sync database damaged' and told me how to fix it..... well i did as instructed - https://helpx.adobe.com/au/lightroom-classic/kb/local-sync-database.html?trackingid=W6K8JK3M&mv=in-p... - and when i re opened lightroom classic it opened a new catalogue. It also is now syncing my icloud (iphone photos), which it has never done before, and it will take forever, its about half way and has been going for a few hours now.
All the 'collections' i had seem to be synced, and when i click on an image in the collections and then click 'go to folder in library' (from one of the collection photos) it takes me to a Folder called 'Other Lightroom Device' and sub folder 'Imported Photos'. Did not have this folder listed on previous version, and all of the collection photos came from the previous library. All original photos are still on the hard drive. But i clearly dont have them (or the edits) in this catalogue that is running this sync update.
I have clearly done something wrong in the instructions in the above link but dont know what OR how to fix it.
I do have a backup of the catalogue from the v13-3. (only have ever had the one cat and it has always converted fine in each version update)
I tried to reload the previouse catalogue i ahd been using (I only use one) from v13-3, and now i cant open LR at all as it has to quit when i open it., so cannot open any backups etc.
I have listed this error on this community page before and no one commented, I have tried to use the Chat text option to talk to someone, it keeps timeing out on me, i have requested three call backs and no one has called me back. What do i have to do to get some help?
HELP please!
TIA.
Sally

For anyone that is interested, I have finally had a call from Adobe Customer support, my issue is now resolved. The catalogue was running on my PC on One Drive, which have changed their permissions and this was causing the sync issues. The LRC catalogue is now stored on an external hard drive and is opened from there and also backed up to a NAS drive.
