Error Message:failed to find a place for the imported files

When using LRC  Version 12.2 with Safari V16.3 I get the error message: Failed to find a place for the imported files.  This is a new problem.  I am able to only download half of my DNG files to an external Hard Drive.

Install the latest version of Lightroom Classic again & try these steps to iron out any underlying permission issues.

• Ensure Lightroom Classic & Photoshop have the required permissions on macOS: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/quick-tips-how-to-give-full-disk-access...

• Try this step on the external drive, where images are stored if needed.

  • Search for Disk Utility from Finder's spotlight search or magnifying glass.
  • Run 'First Aid' diagnostic on the external drive. Check this to learn more: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210898
  • Restart the computer
