Error opening catalog after update in Lightroom classic

I went to open Lightroom classic today with my usuall catalog and received an error saying that the catalog is corrupt and it cannot be opened! I only have one catalog where all my photos are (it has thousand of items in there) I last opened it a couple of weeks ago. I noticed a new version of LRC was installed 4 days ago and now I cannot open my catalog... HELP!!!

I have macos catalina 10.15.7 and the lightroom version is the lastest one (it updated automatically) as of 6-14-21

It always helps to actually state the version NUMBER of your Lightroom Classic.

 

Please make a copy of a recent backup catalog backup file, place it on a different disk than the original catalog, and see if that will open.
