Liebe Community

Which version of Lightroom do you use?
In the latest version LR 12.0 this was resolved.

Thanks for your response. I use version 12 and at least for me it is not fixed. 😞
The image freezes, gets black or pixeled. LR crashes.

Have you set Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor to Off?

That's it
Am I too stupid to understand that now? Why do I have to set the Graphics Processor to OFF to make it run faster and more stable?

LR uses the graphics processor for many of its functions now, and it uses it in ways that are much different than most apps. It often trips over bugs in older graphics drivers.
Your graphics chipset dates from 2013, and you have the most recent driver for it, according to Nvidia.com. But that driver is 3.5 years old, which indicates that Nvidia has stopped fixing driver bugs for that older chipset.
So your only option is to disable LR's use of the graphics processor or get a newer computer with a newer graphics processor. Disabling the GPU on your computer likely has little or no performance impact, given the age of the chipset and the smaller size of your display.

Thank you so much for your help and thank you for the detailed answer. I would like to put a newer GPU in my laptop, but I don't know which one and which one would fit. And is it worth it at all?
Otherwise, I'm very satisfied with the laptop.
If you had any advice.

I'm not aware of laptops that let you upgrade the GPU, but I'm not an expert on that.
