File is hard-link

Trying to Publish Photos using Hard Drive Service but get the error:

Failed to process image: File is hard-link (1)

Checking the folder to where the file should be going there are tmp folders created.

 

Using latest version of LrC on a 2021 MacBook Pro (M1)

Hard links is what Apple Time Machine creates in its backups. You haven't (re)linked the catalog to images on a Time Machine backup, have you? You should never use files directly in such a backup, but always use Time Machine to restore files if and when needed.

It turns out the directory that images are kept in was being synced to Google Drive. removing the synch has cleared the issue!
