File Issues

New Here ,
May 02, 2022 May 02, 2022

I've just downloaded prom pics, spent hours editing, got them ready to export when I get a note that the files aren't found and can't be exported.  Now, every photo in the library has a "?" in the top right corner.  So frustrated.  Have no idea what to do.  Someone please help!

Usually this happens when there is confusion about photos being "in" Lightroom.  "Importing" only registers the location of the files.  If you have moved them, removed them or changed their location, your will get the "?".  What disk or device are the photos on?

It used to be that Lightroom placed a ? in the top right of each photo to indicate that the photo was not where Lightroom was expecting it to be. Then they changed the software so that it places an exclamation point icon in the top right of each photo, to mean the same thing. The solution is the same, and explained in this document: https://www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm
