When I do command-F to Find, if I haven't used the program in a while (not sure how long before it's triggered), the boxes revert to "Any Searchable Field" and "Contains All." I almost always use "Filename" and "Contains," so if I don't notice this and change both of these boxes, the search takes a long time, and I have to reset both of these boxes, at least once a day. It's been doing this for a few months, I think. It used to stay the way you left it.

A quick experiment shows that Any Searchable Field does search the full folder path of photos. I put a single photo in the nested folder bobxxx/janetyyy, and doing "Any Searchable Field contains bobxxx" yields that photo.
Adobe has never defined precisely which fields are searched, so you have to do these experiments when in doubt.
