Flags appear inconsistently in Grid view

I have tried closing and restarting LR, which temporarily solves the issue (as does restarting the PC (Win 10). Flags (the white Pick ones) always appear in Loupe view or when using the filter in Grid view. This means some images I've flagged show up in Grid view only when using the filter, but not when all filters are off (which is very frustrating). 

 

I've tried pressing J to see if that helps, but no dice. Lightroom Classic ver 14.3

 

Any suggestions?

Try resetting the preferences of Lightroom Classic:  How to reset Lightroom Classic preferences (adobe.com)

It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

If this doesn't help we need more informations about your system. Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.
