Re: locating the correct catalog to upgrade

Initially, when I upgraded and opened LRC, several folders and files were missing. I attempted to find them and then submitted a question. I received an answer to this question yesterday and tried to follow that suggestion, but I wasn't able to locate my old catalog.  He/She had suggested going to File>Open Recent to find it, but I couldn't. I think by that time I had already tried several options of my own that didn't work. I am desperate for help and think someone may need to access my computer to assist me? Can anyone give me directions as to how to proceed?  I hope the screen shot can help.

Thank you, Mike

If File->Open Recent doesn't find the catalog you want, then you need to use your operating system's search feature to search all folders on all hard disks for files whose name ends with .LRCAT (actually, it will be lower case .lrcat, but some people mis-read the lower case L as the number 1 or the letter I). For each file found by this search, double-click on it until you find the catalog of interest.

If that doesn't work, restore a recent backup of your catalog file.
