Lightroom isn't showing all my folders on my external hard drive

Have the photos on the external drive been imported into Lightroom or Lightroom Classic?

By the way, are you talking about Lightroom (Lr icon) or Lightroom Classic (LrC icon)? What version NUMBER?

I use lightroom Classic. The images haven't been imported as they don't
show up in my folders. The version is 12.2

Lightroom Classic is not a browser. It only shows those folders that contain at least one photo that has been imported in the catalog.
