Following instructions for fixing duplicate EHD upon import

I am trying to follow the instructions on this page because this problem occurred for me, but I'm having trouble with the instructions.

I have an EHD with a single folder with all photos (see screenshot) called Lacie Photos

It has a parent folder called >>ALL PHOTOS

Under there, I have subfolders, and under one of the subfolders, I have subfolders by year and date with all photos with subfolders by year and date, eg >>>>>>2023 (and date named subfolders)

The phantom/duplicate drive was called Lacie Photos 1 and had 3 date-named folders under it that were missing in the true drive (but present in the true drive in Finder).

The instructions in the above link said to make a temp drive on a new EHD and create new empty folders corresponding to each of the top-level-parent folders in step 3 (all top-level/parent folders on real and phantom drive).

My question: which top level folders do I need to make on the new temp HD? For the real HD: just a ALL PHOTOS folder, and for the phantom drive, just the 3 date-named folders?
