Free trial of LRClassic is not downloading on new Mac mini

I have a new mac mini and have transferred everything over from my old imac.  I downloaded the installer for lightroom and creative cloud.  I have dragged my LR5 which transferred over from the old computer to the trash and emptied it.  When I double click the installer icon nothing happens - no error message - nothing - it will not start the install.  I have also tried restarting my mac mini.  What can I do or who can I talk to about this?  Is there an Adobr support number I can call - I'm very frustrated and losing days on my free trial version.

What exact version of Lightroom Classic do you have? Current is v15.1. 

If you have the very very old v5, then that will be a problem.

What is your MAC OS?

Lr 5 on your computer should not prevent someone from downloading the free trial of Lightroom Classic.

What installer icon are you talking about? Is it at a website that is part of Adobe.com? If so give us the URL and also try a different web browser. Or is the icon somewhere else, please be specific and detailed.

I finally got the installer to work and wil be starting to use my new LRCC very soon..
