Since updating to LRc 13.3.1 it is very slow and is getting worse as time goes on. Getting more frequent "not responding" screens.

No changes to Windows computer and everything else is working fine. Optimized the catalog, increased cache size etc to no avail.

Ian, thank you for your reply, I only just discovered it after receiving an email from Adobe asking if it solved my problem.

I recently installed the update v13.4 and that seems to have solved the problem.

For information, my system is Intel Core i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz. 32 GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070. Also, I don't sync to the cloud and automatic writing to XMP is not enabled.

Thanks again

Please provide your 'System Info'. This can be obtained from the LrC Help > System Info menu ite,. The System Info dialog includes a 'Copy' button. Paste the info into your next post.

Some other questions that your answers may help us diagnose the problem.

Do you sync photos to the Adobe Cloud?

Do you have 'Automatically write changes to XMP' enabled?

Do you

Yes I have exactly this problem too. It's so painfully slow even just moving between images. Deleting one image takes 3-8 minutes while it says "gathering information"

Syncing is not working properly either. It used to be so good I could do rough edits on my mobile within minutes of transferring to my desktop. It's now so bad I'm not going to be able to work on it at all.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

@MontyJSweets , The sync issue is a different from the one raised by the author of the thread. The update of LrC 13.3 has a major change to the syncing with Adobe Creative cloud and the issues have not been changed by the latest update LrC 13.4.

See the article at the link below.

Thank you for that link. I'll check it out. Much appreciated. Yes I understand it's a different issue but just adding it to the problems that seem to be occurring. I've ended up creating a new catalogue to see if that helps. But my software is now stuck downloading 30,000 images when my new catalogue only contains 2 collections with 5,000... I think I need to read more into this!
