Hello,

I use Lightroom classic on my desktop Imac and also Lightroom mobile to synch a few collections as well as importing mobile pictures on my desktop computer. From what I understand, a synch collection is not necessary locally (mobile) stored ? It just means that we can see and access to these synch collection through web connection ? I am right ?

Thanks for your answer.

Lightroom-Classic v11.2 stores original imported files locally and sends proxy (smaller) files (marked to sync in Collections) to the Cloud.

Lightroom-Desktop v5.2 stores 'Added' file originals in the Cloud, and all catalog processes are connected to the Cloud.

Lr-Classic and Lr on the same computer do not 'talk' directly to each other- the 'connection' is all through the Cloud ecosystem.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 14.2 Photoshop 26.3, ACR 17.2, Lightroom 8.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 15.0.2, .
