Global Presets "Camera Settings" not working as I expected

When I shoot a picture with my Canon 6D Mark II picture style set to monochrome and import this image toin LrC with Preferences > Presets > Global set to "Camera Settings," the file comes in with the Adobe Color profile. I thought it should come in with the Adobe Monochrome profile.

Lightroom is up to date, and I am applying an ISO Adaptive Preset, if that’s relevant to the issue.

Any ideas why this isn't working?

You may be right.

I selected an image and changed the profile from Adobe Color to Adobe landscape. Then I clicked the  ISO adaptive preset for my Canon 6D and it changed the profile back to Adobe Color.

Is there a way to see exactly what an ISO adaptive preset is applying? Since it was created by selecting multiple images and creating a new preset, I'm not sure how to deconstruct it.

Can I edit the preset to stop it from applying a profile, or do I just need to rebuild it from scratch?

You can open the preset in a text editor. It's fairly easy to understand.

What you can do is the following. Select an image and set all sliders to zero. Apply the preset. Then right-click the preset and choose to update it with the current settings. Check the things the preset altered, but uncheck 'Treatment & Profile'.

I opened the XML file in BBEdit, and saw that it was applying the Adobe Color profile. I just went head and built a new "camera adaptive preset." It was easy since I still had all my files for the primary ISOs, with all their noise reduction adjustments. Lightroom now imports files with the camera presets set in the camera. Yea!
