There are previous posts from a few years ago. But never seemed to have been resolved. I'm trying to import 20 photos and it keps hanging trying to ask if i want to quite or wait. its 10 minutues between each refresh where i get a chance at 1 click. Its a joke!!
I've tried disabling rtx card.tried using card reader, direct from camera all of the solutions that are avialble to try on the internet but I don't knwo what happened as it used to be a breeze working with it. Anyone help at all?!

Try deleting your preference file (or moving it to somewhere else in case this doesn't work). https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/preference-file-and-other-file-locations.html

Some background information would be helfpul.
Please state clearly the version NUMBER of your Lightroom Classic. (we need the version NUMBER and not words like "latest" or "up-to-date")

Can you copy the photos to your hard disk using your operating system? Or does it hang that way as well?

I was expecting a version number like 13.2, but you clearly don't have that. First thing I would do is update your LrC to 13.2.
Can you import without the software "hang" from the files on the hard disk?
I do not understand this sentence: "I can alos import using LRC but its jsut insanely slow." How were you trying to import? Please be specific an detailed.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post.
