having problems after upgrading lrc v11 to v13

Hi, I need your help. I Upgraded lrc from v 11 to v13.2, and went to v13.3. Since v13.2, it became unusably slow, changing sliders, brush masking, undo und redo, just everything I do takes too long to be apllied. Also, when intruducing keywords, it just tapes the first letter, applies it as a keyword and the rest of the letters it applies the respective shortcut. As I couldn't work this way, I tried to reinstal an older version, but v11 wasn't available anymore so I installed v12. But there's another problem, the smart previews are all gone (the catalog file, previews and every file next to the the catalog turned gray in the folder on my computer), every  photo takes too long to load, and the first letter issue persists. I'm running a 2015 macbook pro retina with os 12.7.1. Don't understand much of computer specs but it seems I'm inside the recommended requirements. I really need lightroom working and don't need what its there from v11 forward, so I would be very happy to comeback to the v11 with everything normal as it was. Any help appreciated, thanks

Can you please show us your hardware according to Help->System Info. Copy and paste the info down to and including the GPU information. It's entirely possible that your 2015 macbook pro isn't powerful enough to handle the newest LrC, but we'll know for sure when you provide the system information.

Thanks for your reply @dj_paige I also want to make an update in my situation. The first v12 i tried to install was the latest available, I 12.5.1 I think. Now I returned back even further to the v12.0, as I was desperate to work, and it seems that, aside from the crop tool after a few edits, witch becames slow, its now workable and gone with the first letter on keywords issue (I don't know but it doesn't seem much to do with the power of the computer?). The thing is, when I came back to the v12, and now even if I go again to v13 (wich I tried), all my smart previews and black flags are gone, have the metadata conflict exclamation point on all my edited photos, and every of them is grayed out and takes a lot of time to load. When I updated for the v 13, nothing of this happened, just the unusable slowness and the thing with keywords.

Now its the system info(hope its not a problem it beeing in portuguese), its from the v12.0 wich is the one I have installed right now, and thanks once again for your time.

Old graphics cards have been the cause of many people's slowness. Your 2015 Macbook Pro just doesn't have enough power in the GPU to run LrC 13 because of the enhancements in the software to use the GPU for more and more things.

Thanks for the explanation @dj_paige , now can I do something about the problems I have from when I downgraded to v12? It will be much time wasted making all the selections again, building smartpreviews and waiting for the photos to become other than a gray rectangle again. Its strange because when I upgraded directly to v 13 everything was as it was before. One thing I noticed is the files accompaigning the catalog (the latter included) were gray until I clicked on file info on them, happened in the computer folder where I have them and both my backups. Also is there anyway to have access to v11 again? Other than curves on masks the extra functions do nothing for me, especially the ai ones, as when I want to do everything manipulative and/or require better selections I go to photoshop for better results. By the way, if I just use manual adjustments, except for select subject or background on a few photos (wich already did in v11), shouldnt I be able to edit without slowness the majority of my work as I did before?

The V13 catalog is not backwards compatible, it cannot be used in V12 or V11. If, in V13, you write all the metadata to XMP, much of your work in V13 can be transferred to V12 or V11, but not all. Your pick flags and a number of things cannot be transferred to V12 or V11 via XMP. New features in V13 cannot be transferred to V12 or V11 by XMP.

I have read in this forum that if you call Adobe and ask politely for a download link for V11, they will send it to you. I haven't tried this myself.
