Help repairing LR Classic

I recently had the misfortune of having my computer hacked. I had my repair person remove the virus and do a clean install of Windows also. I have re-installed LR Classic which upgraded the catalog version for me. But when I open LR the new catalog does not show any of my images. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong?

Lightroom created a new empty catalog. You need to use 'File - Open catalog' to point it to the existing catalog.

Or navigate to it in Windows Explorer, and double-click to open it in LightRoom.
