How do I restructure already synced photos on my disk?

So I recently downloaded Lightroom Classic. When importing my photos from Lightroom I didn't realize I automatically organize synced images by year/month/date so all of my synced files just went to a "imported photos" folder on my disk. Is there a way to sort them by date automatically and create new folders where I can access them without having to move each photo manually?

How much work have you done on them? What you could do is save work back to the files (CmdS or CtrlS), then remove them from the catalogue. Import them again, and choose the date format in the Import dialog.

You'll lose stuff like flags or collections that aren't written to the files.

Make a backup of your catalogue before doing this.

So I recently downloaded Lightroom Classic after having Lightroom CC for a bit and I didn't realize that when importing photos into Classic from the CC Lightroom library it creates folders on your computer hard drive where the photos are now stored as opposed to simply having them stored in the Adobe Lightroom cloud. I am wanting to remove the physical photos synced onto my computer through Lightroom Classic and only have them stored on the creative cloud, however, it seems if I remove the photos from my disk it takes them off of my cloud library as well. Does anyone know how I can revert this automatic sync and just have my photos stored on the cloud?

The short answer is - you can't! The long answer is - you can't! When you activate cloud sync in LrC everything in the cloud is downloaded to your computer. The only way to prevent syncing from the cloud is to turn sync off.

When I downloaded Lightroom I noticed that this folder was automatically created on my disk. It's empty and I am curious what its used for and what photos will be saved in it.

Hello, so as of today I downloaded Lightroom Classic and after syncing up photos from my CC I am pretty lost as to how I should proceed with organizing my folders. I am seeing My Laptop as well as my iPhone as folder categories, each containing an "imported photos" folder however I am not sure where exactly the photos within those albums are imported from or what use they have. Before I knew you could auto-sort folders by date I already imported the bulk of my photos from Lightroom CC and now most of my stuff is located within the Mobile Downloads.lrdata folder on my computer. Is there any way I can re-import those photos so that they can be organized by date just like the rest of my photos in normal folders on my computer?

The folder is used to store files that you save/share from Lightroom Desktop. I've attached a screenshot that might help.
