How do I transfer the LR Catalog to new subscription?

My son has had a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud for about three years. Since then, we've been using Lightroom Classic on his PC and on my PC, each with their own catalog. Now he's moved out and I bought my own subscription to continue using Lightroom Classic.

How do I get my catalog with the previous edits into my new, own Lightroom Classic?

If you launch Lightroom Classic from the Adobe Creative Cloud app (which should be signed in using your new subscription e-mail address) you will probably get an empty catalog. That's okay. Then select File->Open Catalog and select the catalog file on your PC. (Or maybe, depending on many issues, when you first open Lightroom Classic it will show your existing catalog).

The Lightroom Classic catalog is not tied to any subscription. All you need to do is go to the Creative Cloud app, logout of the old subscription and login with the new subscription.
