How is it at 40Mbps syncing takes hours

I travel often and use LR mobile (is that what its called now or just LR -  sure is nice to have clarity of product names) and LRC.

Lightroom mobile is my input for raws so I can do field work.  When connected to wifi I sync to LRC (has features that are not available in LR).

What I have observed, and continue to observe, is that Windows Task manager will show 40 Mbs or more being consumed by the PC for hours and yet only a small number of files will be downloaded (e.g, takes tens of minutes to download 1 file).

How can that be if each file is only 40-100 megabytes?

My observation is this issue is machine and version independent.

Is this what everyone else experiences - incredibly slow sync performance.

I really enjoy Lightroom, but when every I get caught in a sync loop I find myself very frustrated with the product.
