I am told to go to plugin-extra and there will be a importer that makes this simple. However, mine says "none defined". My plugin manager doesn't show it as an option to load. I have searched my file list for any plugins and only found one for a nikon tether plugin.
When I asked the Adobe tech help chat, they said that only an iphoto library can be imported into lightroom if I am on an Mac OS for lightroom. This can't be true. I can't be the only person who has an old iphoto library that they want to migrate to a windows 10 lightroom database. The tech help chat said to search Google for a third party plungin for the importer, but haven't found one yet. I have lightroom classic cc 8.2.1 installed and windows 10. Thank you for the help!

Can you specify which plugin you are referring to in your post thanks?
Is the plugin visible but 'greyed out' or just not there at all . . . if so a cropped screen shot might also add to the information for us to work on.

Thank you. I have read that there is a plugin called "apeture/iphoto importer" where you can choose the library type (aperture or iphoto). I do not show this in the plug-in Extra. Instead there are no options showing. However, with more research it seems this may only be available to Mac OS users of Lightroom? If this is the case, how does one import photos from an old Mac iphoto library into Lightroom classic CC in a windows pc environment? I don't use the Mac anymore and want to move these photos over to Lightroom. I have not started to use lightroom yet so there is no issue of merging them into an already started database.

You would need to export them from that Mac if possible initially, and then import into Lightroom.
What did you use on the Mac?
