I thought what I am looking for would be pretty basic but I can't seem to find a straight answer on the web, so maybe someone can just answer it for me.
My family has been cleaning out my grandparents' house and unfortantly for me (being the graphic designer in the family), I've been tasked with scanning and archiving all photos, documents and other family history to digital copies and uploading them somewhere for all our family to access. Well, I've been using Lightroom for face tagging to record who is who in photos and write descriptions from the backs of photos, but I can't seem to find a service online that keeps the tags in place for family to download and view from. I thought Flicker was keeping the tagging squares, but when I ran a trail run with a hand full of photos the tags didn't appear on the photo like I thought they would. (And yes I had exported to allow all metadata)
So, long story short is there a service where I can bulk upload pre-tagged photos from Lightroom's people tagging system with the face squares left in place? It needs to be bulk uploadedable by the way as there are already 27K + files. (My grandmother took pictures of literally everything.) - Our family is prepared to pay subscriptions as well for a serivce that matches our needs. Any help is appercaited. Thanks.

While you can publish the person keywords assigned by face tagging to many other services (Flickr, Zenfolio, etc.), I've never heard of a service that will display the face rectangles and assigned names. Even LR Cloud won't display the face rectangles assigned by LR Classic. Which is a shame, since LR obeys and industry standard for representing the face rectangles in photo metadata.
In my own use, in photos where the relationship between people shown in the photo and the assigned keywords isn't obvious, I've added a caption, e.g. "L-R: John, Jane, Joe, ...".

Thanks for the reply and help! I'm surprised there isn't a service that it can transfer to considerring there are alot of platforms that have similar things. (i.e facebook, ancesty tagging, google photos and so on...)

With the rising dominance of the industry walled-garden platforms, there's less business interest in providing interoperability. For example, Facebook discards almost all metadata of uploaded photos, and good luck in getting metadata out of Facebook in a useful way.

I am the product manager for Mediagraph, a multi-user clound DAM that integrates very well with Lightroom. We have a nice workflow for bringing the person tags in and doing further identification of these and other people. I've done it with my own personal can collection of 60,000 images, and can show you how it works. You can learn more about Mediagraph at www.mediagraph.io
