how to quickly browse photos and tag with one-press of the keyboard

I've been wondering this for years.

Is there a tool (or way in Lightroom) that I can can quickly browse photos, taggint them Roll A or Roll B (or with a number rating) - quickly, with one press of a key (number for rating or A or B etc.).

I often have a thousand+ photos to go through, I want to press right arrow to go to the next photo, press A or B (or a number value), then press right arrow again to to to next photo, repeat.  So I can qickly zip through all photos tagging those that are acceptable vs. not.

Then later, delete all ones that didn't make the cut.   Is there a way to do this using only my arrow keys and a rating?

Thanks

Yes.  In the Library module, the right arrow key will move to the next image.  On any image you can press a number key.  The image thumbnail will show stars for the number you select.   You can also do similar with with flagged "picks" with the "P" key and flagged rejects with the "X" key.   It is easy to delete rejected images.

"then press right arrow again to to to next photo,"   Not necessary if you turn on 'Auto Advance'. ! And in the Library module.

From the Menu: Photo > Auto Advance.

Also the [Caps Lock] key will toggle this option on/off.

So simply pressing a numerical key to assign a Star rating will automaticcally advance you to the next photo. You need to be in the Library module (Grid or Loupe view).  It does not work in the Develop module filmstrip.
