Huge issues with collections and cloud sync since latest update 13.3 on Mac

Lightroom Classic 13.3 Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 all updated:

13.3 promised changes for the better in cloud sync - guess what - it has had opposite results with me!

I can hardly create any new collections because of the huge lag - I choose make new collection, lag - dialog appears - give it a name - and then it can take MINUTES before it actually appears in my collections list. 

I want to make a collection syncable with lightroom cloud - I click the sync sign - no result - FOR MINUTE OR TWO, then the sync pictorgam appears.

I got "syncing 15 images" text in the sync status (from the cloud icon to the right of Web menu) for DAYS, finally decided to rebuild all sync database (why they removed all sync progress info from sync preferences pane and HID THE BUTTONS behind the opt key is beyond me!), it got rebuilt and resynced over couple of days, and then guess what - is now stuck back at syncing 15 images. IT IS UNUSABLE, how can you ship such a half baked premium product, Lightroom team???

and now this "syncing 15 images" is back and haunting me! First time I could use the HIDDEN (why??) button - check sync status on web - and it brought me to the "Sync issues" album online (which seems to be otherwise hidden, I could not show it from the page interface, only from within Lightroom) - I saw 15 images had issues, deleted them, and then rebuilt the sync database. Now I am back stuck at "15 images syncing" but my "sync issues" collection is empty!

Also now my "B" shortcut (add to target collection" is taking up to 1 minute or more to actually add the pic! after I press the key literally NOTHING happens its just all dead and image IS NOT ADDED. I wait a few minutes and it appears! This is outrageous they broke my Lightroom with this new catalog format - I need to roll back to previous stable version

Now I'm having similar issues after upgrading to 13.3. The symptoms (so far) include:

1. LR is very laggy when I pick (P shortcut) or reject (X) images. It takes minutes to display the icons properly on the screen.

2. Very laggy when adding images to another collection. Same problem & having to wait minutes to see that images have been added/moved.

3. Same issue with you when trying to create a new collection. 

 

So far no issue with upload (sync) new images to the cloud & view them in LR app on my phone.  

 

Extremely frustrating experience with 13.3 👎🏼 Unfortunately I cannot roll back to 13.2 as I forgot to backup my catalog before upgrading :nauseated_face:

I have to go into file and choose recently used and use my old catalog. Luckily I backup every time i exit so the catalog is a good one. Then it defaults to the 13-3 catalog every time I open Lightroom Classic. So much trouble with this update.

"syncing 15 images"

 

Many people are reporting "Syncing n images" appearing continuously, while sync otherwise continues to work normally:

But clearly you have additional issues, and I don't see any reports yet of how to resolve them. You could try contacting Adobe Support -- they've been activated by the product team to pay particular attention to sync issues. But that's often a very frustrating exercise...

I opted to downgrade to 13.2 - everything is working as normal again. I have no time to spare to do Adobe Quality team's work for them, while paying them subscription money!

ughhhhh same!!! im currently hoping that I can make 13.2 work, because after almost 24 hours of trouble shooting on my own, followed by tech support at adobe for an hour and half in which not only was the problem not solved, but they also hung up on me.  When i returned the call they acknowledged the glitch and told me to wait three hours for the sync to settle down. ..... infuriated is an understatement. Why am i paying for this program if it doesnt work and it disrupts my entire client workflow and communication. NOT INTO IT. 

ADOBE GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

Runing into this same exact issue as well. It is taking up to a minute for the dialog box to show up, two minutes for it to even create the collection and then for 1,500 or so photo's up to 15 minutes for them to be added to the collection. I have been at this all day with multiple new collections, all syncing is turned off and the checkbox when the collection made does not ask for a syn. This is all new since 13.3 on Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 on a Mac Studio M2 Ultra with 128GB of RAM. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

Same here! everything is very slow to use, and the sync is stuck on the day before the upgrade.

Ditto - This has been a nightmare and I'm at a loss on how to fix. I've tried all the suggestions I could find and now I'm just tired and defeated.
