I am no longer able to open photos in photoshop from lightroom classic. "Edit in photoshop" is no longer highlighted as an option under "Edit in".

Reinstall both. First Photoshop, then Lightroom.

First check that the original photo isn't missing. If you have generated smart previews, then you may not notice that because you can still do everything including making edits in Lightroom, but if you want to send a photo to Photoshop then you must have the original.

Other causes for a greyed out [Edit In] menu selection are-

The selected photo is 'Missing'. The thumbnail shows the Missing [!] icon.

You are using Smart Previews with the original files not attached or available to LrC.
