Hi, can you please elaborate the issue?
What workflow you're using and which is the camera that you are trying?
Can you try once by creating a new catalog?
was it working with 10.4?

I'm having the same issue. I'm using version 12.2.1 (21D62) with lightroom 11.2 and it doesn't detect my camera. Tethering works on my older Mac with version 11.2 but not this one. Turning camera / lightroom / computer on and off doesn't work, mac finder is not detecting my camera and it's not working in Capture One either. I'm using a Tether Pro cable with a USB-C adapter. When I shoot with cards in my camera says "busy" and without them it doesn't work either.

I was already able to solve the problem with the new versions of Monterey and Lightroom.
I think the problem is most likely in the firmware of the camera. If it was working fine, when you plug it in the computer should at least recognize it as an external hard drive.

No issues with my R5 using Monterey 12.6.

Is your camera's firmware up-to-date?
