Lightroom Classic 11.2

Windows 11 Pro 21H2 build 22000.527

If crop mode is on when a photo is removed from lightroom classic the image of the removed photo stays visible both in the main view and in the "slide" display at the bottom of the screen.  To clear the image of the removed photo one needs to click on some other photo (somtimes twice) then click on what had been the next photo sequentially.  In previous versions of Lightroom Classic removing one photo immediately eliminated it and displayed the next sequential slide.

I am not able to reproduce this.

  1. Select Image in All Photos
  2. Invoke Crop Tool
  3. While Crop Overlay, right click on image in Filmstrip and select Remove from Lightroom Catalog
  4. Image disappears from Main View and Film Strip and next image is selected with Crop Tool Active.

Have you reset preferences?

This procedure works for both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.

If you are using Lightroom Desktop it can change the location of your local storage. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.

Reset Procedure:

1. Close Lightroom.

2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.

3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.

4. Close Lightroom.

5. Restart Lightroom.
