Images not sharp in LR modules until I click on the image

For the last few months I have noticed that images in both the library & develop odule are not sharp unless I actually click on the full image to zoom and when I go back out again the image is properly rendered & sharp. I have neber had this before. Does anyone know what is going on.

Using original images not previews.

Sounds like an preview option in imports, see:

Not sure it is as I haven't made any changes to my preview settings on import.

I can link this back to when I changed cameras from D850 to Z9, but not sure why that should cause it.

Have you selected the option to use embedded previews?
