Images won't import, saying they are already imported.

I am using Lightroom 6. I am tryin to import images the same way I've done it for 5 years. It is saying the image(s) is already imported which it is NOT. I made sure "don't import suspected duplicates" is not checked and I'm not sure what else to do. I haven't changed any settings.

In Library module, in Folders panel, can you see the folder they are in?

If you sync that folder, what happens?

Idk how to reply to you GoldingD but my files are not in a folder because LR won't import them, saying they are already imported, which they are not.
