unable to import images in lightroom classic 5.7.
getting error some import options were not performed. could not copy the file to the requested location.

Something changed in Mac OS 12.3.1, and many people are finding they need to grant LR Full Disk Access. See:

Your version of LR (5.7) is very old, and this may not apply, but it's quick to try. Beware that you won't be able to reinstall LR 5.7 on Mac OS 12, since its installer is 32-bit and Adobe removed the ability of Mac OS to run 32-bit programs.  (I assume you used the Mac OS migration tools to migrate the installation of LR 5.7 from an older version of Mac OS.)
