Import Issues in Lightroom Classic

Lightroom Classic 11.3.1

iMac - Late 2013, 2.7GHz Quad core Intel i5, 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3

macOS Catalina 10.15.7

Took photos on Sony RX10 in raw format and imported them in to Lightroom.  Attempted to do the same for images taken on Canon 6D in raw format, but was blocked from doing so by Lightroom claiming it was a suspected duplicate image.  There appears to be no workaround for this and no way of informing the catalog that it is mistaken.

Your help would be appreciated.

In the Import window, make sure Don't Import Suspected Duplicates is unchecked:
