Hi, when i make use of the import function and import fotos from local device to my NAS there is some sort of progress bar sync problem. It looks as if lightroom is non responsive but in the background there is file transport. This makes when you are importing a large ammount of images it seems lightroom is "dead".  I repeated the issue and also monitored the NAS for traffic and this is what is happening:

Images are transferred in the background, the software seems unresponsive, this is also what Windows shows you. Due the inresponsive state you see no progress bar and you have no clue if the program is actually responsive. Due lack of  cpu cycles ot the application the progress bar can't be updated and none of the application inputs are working.

Lightroom 13.4 classic

Windows 11 ver 23H2 pro

Asus 16 gb  Core i7 gen8

proc import bunch of images, to nas over wifi, and look at progress bar.

Having an actual state in the progressbar and or more details what is gooing on in the background is essential with large batches of data.

Regards

Eelco
