Before importing photos, I copy them from the SD to my storage drive with Windows explorer before working on them.

Then I use the import function to import them in the lightroom library. But every time I want to import the photos, lightroom also select and want to import the pictures stored on P: drive (which is a drive letter mapped to pCloud service).

Why lightroom is obsessed to import content from this drive and won't remeber the latest drive from which the pictures where previously imported ???

Why don't you simply Import from the SD card directly to a permanent Folder Destination on an internal drive with the [Copy] option?

You set the SD card as the 'Source'.

You are not moving files twice (more chance of corruption).

You don't have the need to manually copy files before importing.

And the {p:drive} situation should not be a problem. (Source will be SD card only).

Regards. My System: Lr-Classic 12.2 Photoshop 24.2, ACR 15.2, Lightroom 6.2, Lr-iOS 8.0.8, Bridge 13.0.2, Windows-11.
