Using latest Windows, on a PC, in Lightroom Classic, while editing previously uploaded images in the Develop Module, the Import window opens up intermittently, prompting me to select a source to upload more images. I then need to cancel the Import window before I can get back to editing images already up in the Develop module. The images were previously uploaded to both my hard drive and an external drive.
Issue has been reported to Adobe, two separate times, and the support staff could not fix or identify the root cause of the issue. Issue happens once per hour, and sometimes 20 times in 3 minutes.
Any of you LR Classic power users have any ideas what I am either doing wrong, or settings I need to change?

There might be two items you can look at, and change-
1) LrC Auto Import that detects if a USB device is plugged in. And any external drive/device that intermittently shuts down and starts up again can have this effect of opening the import dialog.
Uncheck the option in Preferences > General tab:
2) Windows has the 'AutoPlay' option set to [Import photos....]
To turn 'off' - type "Autoplay" in the windows start menu, and toggle the switch to [Off]
(I notice a glitch in my Windows- this W11 interface shows Lr 8.0 and Lr 11.0..!!! Strange.! when I have v13.2)
