I am using Lightroom 12.0.1 and Camera Raw 15.0. I have created a range of empty folders using the command prompt, but when I try to import them into Lightroom, it only imports the folder that contains an image. I have tried creating a dummy folder with a small image inside, but it still does not import the empty folders. Is there a way to import empty folders into Lightroom or a workaround for this issue? I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

You cannot import empty folders. LrC can only imports folders than contain supported files. However, you can 'add' a new empty 'Folder' or 'Subfolder' as shown in attached screenshot.
'Add Subfolder' allows you to select an existing folder into whcih the new subfolder will be placed. 'Add Folder' will open an OS type dialog with an option to create a 'New Folder' wherever you choose.

Thank you for your quick response and the screenshot, it's very helpful. I understand now that Lightroom can only import folders that contain supported files. I appreciate the suggestion of using the "Add Subfolder" or "Add Folder" option to create new empty folders within Lightroom. I will definitely give it a try.
Thank you again for your help and support. I appreciate it.

Well it should. Some photographers have HUGE volume and use programs to generate sequential folders for clients to import to automatically. Having to do it one at a time sucks and slows our workflow down considerably... LRc is already slow... I have to cull in bridge because LRc can barely handle JPGs let alone RAW.
