I am trying to export my keywords from my desktop and import them into a new catalog on my laptop. I have done this seemlessly in the past however now I am getting the message below:

The file cannot be imported, because it contains corrupted data.

appreciate any advise.

Thanks so much

Sorry I am using lightroom. And I was able to solve my problem. I had one keyword with 2 commas. Once I removed those 2 commas keywords imported with no problem

You don't say which app or operating system you're using. 🤔

Possibly Related:  Importing/Exporting keywords with Adobe Bridge.

https://helpx.adobe.com/bridge/using/keywords-adobe-bridge.html

"You can import tab-indented text files exported from other applications, such as Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. You can also export Adobe Bridge keywords as text files. These files are encoded as UTF-8 or ASCII, which is a subset of UTF-8."

Hope that helps.
